3 months

Braelin,

The last three months have FLOWN by! I still can't believe you are mine. We love you soo much. You are still the perfect baby. Everyone that meets you says the same thing, they have never seen a baby as alert and interactive as you. You are so smart. We love watching how much you grown and learn everyday.

---You love playing with your piano and toys that hang above it, lets be real. You grab everything in front of you now! It is so much fun!

---You've been rolling from tummy to back since you were 2 weeks old, but now you do it everytime you are on your tummy! And you are trying so hard to roll from back to tummy, you've almost got it.

---We were almost back to 100% breastfeeding, but then I went back to work and I am only able to pump once if I'm lucky so we do both. Im still trying SO hard. Taking fenugreek and on days I don't work and weekends I pump every three hours. Its very time consuming and sometimes frustrating when other people have it so easy. But I know im doing what is best for you :) You only eat 4 ounces every 4-5 hours

--- You are SO close to laughing.. Sometimes you will do a giggle, but most of the time you act like you are too mature to laugh.

--- You love your bumbo and I think that taught you to be VERY independent. You now love sitting up in my lap and don't always want to snuggle like you use to, you also learned that you love it when I stand up while holding you facing forward. I'm not the biggest fan of this one, but you just love to see everything.

--- Still sleeping through the night! 9:30-7:30 or 8 usually and you haven't woken up once since you started at 6 weeks old. Its hard on days I work because we have to wake up at 5:45 for me to get ready and then I usually wake you up at 6 to eat and then we pack you up and leave by 6:50!

---Your hair is getting longer, and none of it has fallen out still! Its definitely blonde, but sometimes even strawberry blond.

---You smile like crazy at everything, especially mommy. I make you smile like crazy.

---You love peek-a-boo, but you get really scared everytime.

Braelin's Blessing

We blessed our sweet Braelin on Sunday, April 13th! I wish I would have recorded the blessing so I could write it down in her baby book, but the only thing I really remember was Hunter saying how she would be a great example to her siblings... this made me very excited :)  It was such a fun day, it was pouring rain but everything turned out great!

a fun weekend

Last weekend my sister Emily came down and stayed the weekend with her three kids, Tayli, Tyson and little Tucker! They stayed at my sister Kari's house since my parents house is all full. They arrived around 4 pm on thursday. When they got here we just visited and played with all the kids and ordered pizza. After we ate the kids wanted to go to build a bear to get their bears jammies.  since they got them during their last visit they wanted to go again since they don't have one close by where they live. So we got to the mall and went in build a bear and they each picked out things for their build a bear and we just walked around and then went home.

On friday me, Kari, Emily, and all the kids went to the Holy Cow botique in Pleasant Grove. We love going to the botique! Especially now that I have a little girl, they have the cutest headbands and bows and flowers... and the best cinnamon twist rolls. After the botique we went to my parents house to pick up my mom and dad and then headed to the new aquarium in draper!! It was so much fun, although I would wait another month till all the tanks are full. Most of them are all empty so really all they had was penguins, sharks, otters and jelly fish and a bunch of little fish. BUT the aquarium gives you a ticket to come back for another time!! So thats nice that we get to go back again!

After the aquarium we headed to buffalo wild wings for dinner and then we all headed to Kari's again and just played with all the kids and visited.

On Saturday we got up early and headed over to Kari's and my mom and I watched the kids while Kari, Emily, and Tayli went to walmart to grocery shop. Once they got back a few hours later (after watching Balto like three times :)) we headed to the Traverse mountain outlets and just walked around. Then we headed back over to Kari's and started preparing for dinner and we had a big bbq and also had my favorite, angel food ccake with whip cream and strawberries, it was amazing!! we just ate and played all night, and did nails.

Then on Sunday we headed back to Kari's in the morning to hang out and watch frozen before they headed home. it was such a fun weekend having most of the family together!

2 months

Two Month stats:

Braelin,

I can't believe you are two months old.. and you are getting so chubby.. mostly just your cheeks and big double chin :) We love your little chubs. You are the perfect baby, we still can't get over it. You smile like crazy whenever you see me and you always love to snuggle with daddy when he gets home from work and school. You have such a cute little personalty and we love watching it come out. We love you so much and I don't know what we would ever do with out you! I went back to work this month and I miss you like crazy all day and you are all I think about, but you do great with the babysitters!

---you are still such a good sleeper! You started sleeping through the night around 6 weeks old and you usually sleep from 9:30-6:30. and a couple nights a week you will sleep from 7:30-6:30. And you haven't woken up once in the middle of the night since you were 6 weeks old. Its really nice but sad at the same time, I miss that time together at night.

--- I wasn't ready to stop nursing, even though my milk supply was almost completely out. I would pump for 30 minutes on both sides and only get a total of .5 ounces. Then I heard if you tried fenugreek pills it would help increase milk supply so I tried it and amazingly it worked!! I started getting around 2 ounces and then we were almost completely back to 100% nursing.. and then I started work and its probably about 50/50. Which is still good. Hopefully when I get my prescription for an electric breast pump then we can be back up to 100% again.

--- You smile like CRAZY! and you definitely know your mommy and daddy. You are the happiest baby ever.

---Your hair is turning a lot more blonde. Im very excited about that :)

---You got your shots today! And you did great.. I'm pretty sure I cried more than you did.

---We packed up most of your newborn clothes and you are now in size 1 diapers!

The difference: one month and two months!

anniversary

On april 8th, 2014 it was a third anniversary!! I still could not believe we have been married  for three whole years, it is crazy how fast it goes by! On april fools day Hunter called me and said we were going to a Jazz game for our anniversary and he had already planned a babysitter and everything.. I knew it was april fools and he had been playing jokes on people all day, so naturally I didn't believe him.

 Then the night before our anniversary comes and we went to texas roadhouse for dinner with Braelin :) who slept the whole time and when we got home I said we needed to pick out a movie to go see, which there really weren't any good ones out that I wanted to see. Hunter gave me an anniversary card and said I needed to open it that night.. I kept telling him that I didn't want to open it till our anniversary but he made me open it. and to my surprise, there were two jazz tickets!! He really did have everything planned for that night. I was super excited because i had been wanting to go to a game forever but its so expensive and i didn't want to sit in the upper bowl because its not worth it to have to watch with binoculars the whole time :) But hunter had found the tickets on KSL and ended up talking the person into selling him both tickets for $25 dollars each!! Not to bad if you ask me... So the next day I was a little nervous because we would be leaving Braelin... I had only left her for two hours at the most when she was one week old. But I did okay and didn't even cry this time ;) and she did great with  her aunt Kari!

We left around 5 pm and drove up to salt lake, hunter even prepaid for parking and then we were able to walk for awhile to get to the Jazz game, which I liked being able to walk the streets :) Even if there are homeless people lurking around every corner. We got to the stadium right around 6:15 and as soon as we walked through the doors we saw Jerry Sloan standing there! It was crazy.. we immediatley asked to take a picture with him and he was actually super nice and talked to us for a few minutes before everyone else started taking pictures with him!

Then we went and found our seats, and i was surprised at how good they were! Hunter went and got us our food and we enjoyed the game.. even if the Jazz lost, we were cheering for the mavericks anyways!! It was such a fun surprise for our third anniversary, and i can't want for many more to come!
