Keeping Perspective

Sometimes its hard to keep perspective when everything seems to be going perfectly and we have all our plans set for the future and all of a sudden all our plans disappear and then every little thing that can go wrong.. does. These are times where I am so grateful for Hunter because he is always here to remind me to enjoy now and not to dwell on what will or won't happen in the future and how it will all work out.... because one day I will miss how everything is now.

Conference Weekend

Conference weekend is something I always look forward to! I love spending time with family and friends and getting a new perspective and most importantly getting prayers answered. Last conference session we weren't able to see much of conference since we were running around to banks and different places to buy our truck and drive it home. So this year we were SO excited to be able to watch.

The past 2 years we have had to go to either of our parents houses to watch but this year we bought a little box for 30 dollars so we could have 10-20 channels so we were able to watch conference in our own home this year!!

We started off at 830 in the morning on Saturday and made a big breakfast with sausage, eggs, french toast, grape juice with just Hunter and I. It was delicious and enjoyed having the first two sessions of conference in the comfort of our own home. And we loved hearing that they changed the age for missionaries for boys from 19 to 18 and women from 21 to 19. I think they will get a lot of missionsaries and despite what some people think... they do still have the choice to serve or not. The church is just giving them the option to serve earlier if they want to.

All night and morning I had shredded beef taco's in the crock pot cooking for lunch and we invited all our family members and friends and no one could come... so we've had left overs the last weeks :)

Then later that night we went and picked up Papa, (Hunter's great-grandpa) and we drove down to Hunter's parents and Hunter his dad and papa and a few other family members went to the priesthood session while I stayed back and hung out with his Mom and we just talked and watched tv :)

For the sunday session of conference we went to our neighbors Jordan and Holly (they live above us) and had a big breakfast and watched conference up there. After that we went to Hunter's parents and had a roast and played with our nieces and nephews and then watched the second half of conference.

We then went to my parents for dinner where we had... shredded beef tacos and taco soup for dinner! My parents were telling us how they added fish up at Bridal Veil falls so we decided to all take a drive up in the canyone and feed the fishies... I only saw a few fish jump but Hunter of course went through the water and on the side of the mountain and saw the thousand fish over there. But they didn't eat any of the food since I'm sure they have been way overfed the last few weeks. This was such a fun conference weekend and I already can't wait till April for more general conference!

I love living in Utah! It is so pretty all the time.. but especially during fall!

a job worth waiting for

When I graduated high school my plan was to go to UVU and get my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and be a Kindergarten teacher. I got a scholarship to UVU that paid for all my schooling but a few weeks before starting college I met Hunter. I started at UVU and went for the fall 2010 semester and things just didn't feel right. I new I would love to be a kindergarten teacher but it just didn't feel realistic anymore to get married and be in school for 3.5 years.. and the possibility of not even getting into the teaching program. And I was definitely not going to be going to school for 3.5 years and wait that long to have some pretty babies. All through High school I thought of doing dental assisting I love teeth and it is always the first thing I noticed about people. I started looking into different dental assisting schools and interning at my sister Kari's office and I loved it. I loved the atmosphere of Dental Offices. I finally found a school and went with my mom for a tour at Practical Dental Assisting of Utah and absolutely loved it and loved that I could be in my career after 12 weeks of school and that dental assistants get paid well. They were all so friendly and answered all of our questions and we decided to sign me up for the program. We didn't do it for a few weeks and then I got on their website and they had a *holiday special* and it was marked down $1,500 so my mom and I went down and paid for the program and I started in January 2011 and finished at the end of March. It all felt so perfect. I loved dental assisting and I got an A in the whole program and was one of the top in the class.

We got married and I was going on 3 years working at KFC/A&W which was the perfect job for high school, but once we got married it was rough me working at a fast food restaurant. I started to dread going to work and smell like chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy and getting paid a little above minimum wage. After a few months of no interviews and me interning at different offices Hunter and I decided that I should get a job at Hunter's work since they were hiring for a new campaign Moultrie and I started in August of 2011 and started getting more interviews and had one office that wanted to hire me but then it ended up not working out so I started interning there for 6-7 months and then Hunter's car broke down and we only had one vehicle to get to work and school and interning so I stopped going. I was happy I didn't have to go anymore because that was $300 dollars more a month we were able to get and save.

I kept applying for jobs and in May I had an office that told me that they loved me, that they wanted me to work for them. I had 4-5 interviews and they paid me and then the Dentist emailed me and said he was starting his own practice so they wouldn't need an assistant anymore. I was tired, tired of having offices tell me they love me and then to turn me away or telling me I don't have enough experience. We had prayed so much that I would be able to get a job and be able to start my career and new it was what I am suppose to do with my life but  it just felt like it was never going to happen.

Hunter was my rock through all of this. He was always the one encouraging me that I would be able to get the job and working at the call center will give me more skills and that everything will work out how its suppose to. And with each job interview and working interview I had Hunter was always there to encourage and support me when I got told over and over that they loved me and my personality but they found someone with more experience. He helped me stay confident that I would get a job. I am so grateful that I  met Hunter, I don't know what I would do without him.

Every month I applied for 10-15 jobs or more. Then In July something sparked. I received an email and set up an interview and then I had a missed call from and office wanting me in for an interview and when I was on the phone with them another office called and wanted me in for an interview and then when I went in for an interview I had a call from my Dental assisting school telling me of an office in American Fork that was hiring and I called and left a message there. The next three weeks were insane. I was getting 3-4 calls a day with offices wanting me in for interviews. I wasn't able to work most days cause I was going to interviews and then working interviews after they interviewed me. It felt like another full time job going to 3-4 interviews everyday. I couldn't believe it and neither could my mom and Hunter with every text I sent them or when I called them telling them how many more interview I had. I became extremely comfortable with interviews and new what questions they were going to ask before they even ask them. Almost every office had the same questions so I was able to answer all there questions with out hesitation or even thinking of anything.

 Everyday looked like this :)

After over 20 interviews in 2 weeks I was at my last interview at TMJ Therapy and had already had a face to face interview and was there for my working interview and after the interview the Dr. took me into a room and asked a few things about myself and brought he head assistant in and they asked how I would like to work there. I was shocked. I never expected someone to offer me the job on the spot. I was so excited and couldn't wait to leave to call Hunter and tell him. After they gave me all my paperwork to fill out I headed out the door got in my car and called Hunter and he asked how the interview went and I said good.. and then I said guess what? I got the job! He was so excited and was surprised I got the job offer right on the spot. I had the interview on a Wednesday and they wanted me to start on Monday. I was thrilled. I did want to give my work 2 weeks notice but they had known for a long time that I would be leaving as soon as I got a job. So I worked 2 more days and then started on monday and have now been there for almost 3 months. After I had worked there for about a week I got 4 different calls offering me a job to other places I interviewed. I couldn't believe that I had to start turning away jobs when I couldn't even get one before that.

It was a good learning experience and I am so grateful for all the interviews I had and all the love and support from family and friends and I am so happy with my new job :)

Sleep Over With Laila

A few weeks ago we had our niece Laila over for a sleepover just like we did with her sister Jezelle. We had been wanting to have a sleepover with her for the longest time and we finally decided to do it. We picked her up on a Saturday and went grocery shopping at walmart for over an hour and she was a perfect angel!! Hunter and I  had three or four different people come up to me at walmart telling me how she had my eyes or that she looks just like me. It was crazy how many people came up to me or Hunter and said that. Since she was so good we thought we would let her pick a treat.

Then we went to our apartment and she was so excited to see where we lived and of course the minute we walked in the door she asked if she could put her "princess" on. She probably goes through 10 different dresses a day. We watched five different barbie movies (Hunter LOVED it ;) he is well prepared for a daughter one day. haha ) Then Hunter and Laila made cupcakes together.

Then I made none other than mac and cheese for dinner!! I swear its the only thing Laila will eat all the way gone and want even more. After dinner we went to an Orem Owlz game.. we were lucky cause that night they were giving out free gum ball machines and soup ladels. We found out the reason why they were giving away soup ladels was because the guy throwing the first pitch was the soup natzi from an episode of seinfield. I'd never heard of it before but I've never watched seinfeld but apparently it is a really popular epidsode. Laila was so excited that she got stuff from the game and I could not get over how good she was at the game. She didn't whine or anything. The whole time she was singing "Call me, maybe?" the whole time and everyone around us just kept looking at her and saying how cute she is.

She is such a cheese ball. Haha :)

We took probably 10 pictures with her and Hunter and all of them turned out like this :)

And only took one picture with me and she did good :)

Then we went home and saw our neighbors cat perri. Laila was in love with her and would not leave her alone. By the time we were about to leave perri was on the floor panting like a dog. We looked through their kids movies and we let Laila pick the movie (since Hunter was sick of watching and hearing Barbie songs)  and she pick "Spickle Me!!" otherwise known as "Despicable Me" we couldn't stop laughing whenever she said that it was so cute. We went back down to our apartment and pulled our mattress in the living room and got the bed ready and we walked out of the room for two seconds and heard Laila yelling. We went back into the room and she was jumping up and down on the bed yelling, "Spickle me!! Spickle Me!! Spickle Me!!" we just laughed so hard. We were suprised she didn't say anything about going home so we figured we would say something. So we said Laila do you want to go home and she started screaming no I want to stay at your house. I don't want to go home. That made us feel pretty good :)

We made it about half way through the movie and fell asleep and woke up a few hours later to get ready for church. Hunter started cooking breakfast which was mickey mouse pancakes and I woke Laila up to get her ready for church :) after we were all dressed we had mickey mouse pancakes and walked to church! Everyone in our ward LOVED her to pieces! We had people sitting behind us give her fruit snacks and other treats the whole time.

After church we went home and got changed and headed off to take Laila back home. The whole time she kept asking if she was going home and then would start crying so we said we were going on a drive up to the mountains. The rest of the ride she said we are going to the mountains not to mommy's house right? It was so funny until we pulled into her house and she started crying saying she didn't want to leave. It was such a fun weekend and we can't wait to have her over for another sleep over!! :) To this day everytime we see her she says she wants to have a sleep over at our house.. again!

Baby Beckam

On June 28th 2012 we welcomed Beckam Jay-Clinton Judd into the world!! We are SO thrilled to have another nephew to play with!! Hunter and I both stayed in the room for the whole birth and it was an amazing experience! I can't wait till we can add a little one to the family :) Here are just a few pictures of cute little Beckam!

Let Freedom Ring

The Past three years I always had to work on the Fourth of July since I worked at KFC and it was the busiest day of the year. So this year I really appreciated being with family and enjoying the BBQ's Swimming and relaxing!! We spent all day with Hunter's family swimming at his sister Hailey's pool and eating treats and chips and dips and then we just hung out at his parents house and everyone came over and had a big BBQ that was SO good. I contributed by making a delicious pasta salad. It made way to much so we had it for left overs every single day for a week... so I don't think I will be making it again anytime soon ;)

Hunter's mom and dad swimming with our nieces and nephew.

We love our new nephew Beckam!!

Once it got later we went outside and just relaxed and talked and played with the girls and then started fireworks. This year with the fire in AF Canyon we could see the fire burning the canyon and fire works in the background, it was pretty cool :)

As we were driving home we spend about 15 minutes on the phone with a 911 dispatcher. Let's just say it was an interesting night with a person in a car and one on a motorcycle.. both drunk swerving in and out of lanes giving each other high 5's through the window and blocking everyone so they couldn't switch lanes. Luckily all the cops were out and so they followed them and we still will never know what happened to them :)

Memorial Day

This year was the annual Anhder Family Reunion (well... every other memorial day). I always look forward to memorial day to spend time remembering those who have passed and made an impression on the lives of those around them. We always go and see my nephew Jacob's grave and leave flowers and then My grand parents Grave and my dad's sister Karren's grave.

And these are pictures of the graves from 2 years ago... this year they had about five times the flowers on all the graves :)

We drove up to Logan the day before Memorial day and checked into the hotel and My Aunt Julie and Uncle Jerry and most of my cousins from Colorado came for the reunion. We were all SO excited that they came. We played games, went swimming and just hung around the hotel most of the day.

On Memorial Day we woke up early for breakfast then drove to Willow Park and walked around and fed the fish and ducks and watched the monkeys. Then we went up to my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Kurt's house and helped them set up for the reunion. I sat and looked through a book my Aunt Margo had made that had pictures and papers from previous reunions and a lot of stories that my Grandma wrote about herself. It was so fun talking with my Aunt Margo and learning about my grandma and how I'm a lot like her :)

Then the reunion started and all the boys were trying to beat my dad's score in the bean bag toss, talking with family, eating LOTS of GREAT food, and of course Anhder bingo!

My Aunt Margo painted this. She is amazing!!

Aunt Julie thought it would be fun to put her head through and let Margo try and make it through the hole.. or hit her face :) And no worries she never got hit.. but did come real close :)

Once a lot of people started leaving we just stayed and visited because My brother Brad was coming up from Logan and my sister Emily was down from Idaho as well!! It was the first time in a few years that the whole family was all together!

My mom and Tucker. He is so cute!
