For the past two years and six months I have worked for KFC and A&W. Despite the embarrassment of working there i've had for the past seven months or so. I absolutely loved this job. It was amazing for high school being able to work nights and having an extremely flexible job. Not to mention working 40 hours a week for my junior and senior year in high school. I still don't know how I did it and was able to get good grades in school. Here are some lovely pictures :)
Who knew I would get a CHAMPS card for this?! I was very clumsy when I worked there.
In our spare time at worked we liked to try and fit in small boxes or fridges and take pictures :)
I absolutely loved this job while I worked for it but after being married it isn't the best way to bring in money. So after graduating Dental Assisting school I have spent almost six months trying to find a job dental assisting. About five or six interviews later... still no job. The phone call always ended like this "we found someone with two years working experience." But really how am I suppose to get experience if no one will hire me?! After a lot of frustration I decided to just find any other job while still interning and looking for a job as a dental assistant.
The day we had a photoshoot, getting my teeth cleaned and pretending to study :)
My new job is at ROI Solutions, the same place Hunter works. They had a new campaign start up so they hired about 35 new people...
Now I work for Moultrie feeders which sells deer feeders, fish feeders, and trail cameras to take pictures of deer or anything else that walks by. A lot of people use them as security for their homes. Some people are lucky and get pictures like this.....
So people call in when something on their camera isn't working and we troubleshoot the problem and help them fix it. We also will do orders on line for them :) We deal with a lot of people in the southern states that we call "Bubba" who is a southern older person who doesn't know how to use technology ;) Here are some fun phone calls we've had so far...
Bubba: I've put the batteries in and the SD card and I can't get the dang thing to turn on!!!!
CS agent: did you press the power button?
Bubba: awwwww shi*
(If you are wondering, yes he forgot to press the power button)
Bubba: I can't get the camera to turn on.
CS agent: Look at the batteries and make sure they are all put in correctly cause if one is in the wrong way the camera wont turn on.
Bubba: well I put them in there right so it should be turning on!
CS agent: Check the batteries cause that is most likely what it is.
Bubba: aww man I hate to say this but it worked.. you were right.
Bubba: the camera took six pictures in one day and it hasn't taken any in 24 hours!
CS agent: have you ever thought that maybe an animal didn't walk by?
Bubba: oh I didn't think of that...
Most of the phone calls in the day go like that so it is entertaining but sometimes very annoying when they wont try what you're telling them. Or they don't even have the camera with them and they say it isn't working yet they left it in the woods three hours away when they know its not working.. how are we suppose to help them fix it?! Overall I love it, it is really easy and entertaining....
So this is me until I get a dental assisting job :)
Congratulations on the new job, and I know that you'll do great while you're waiting to be hired as a dental assistant! I can really relate to your experiences with customers on the phone - I deal with some very "interesting" customers on the phone at Progressive!
