I haven't written a blog post in almost a month, so I decided that I need to do better at writing a blog posts and I have made a goal of posting once a week. Hopefully I will do it more than that though. This post is about our apartment. When we first found this apartment we loved it!! But we noticed that there were a lot of things wrong with it, even though KSL said it was "Newly Remodeled". So when we met with manager we told her all the things wrong with it and she didn't seem to care and wanted us to move in the next week. On top of that she said that we had to pay first and last months rent when at first she told us only the deposit. Then Hunter had another meeting with her and she wasn't even there so the one who actually owns that apartment came out and had Hunter come in. He was so nice! He told us we didn't need to pay first and last months rent until those months came, he said we didn't have to move in until April 1, and agreed to pay Hunter to fix up the place :) So we spent everyday for two weeks at our apartment painting, cleaning, fixing things, putting new things in and moving in :) This is what the apartment looked like before...
This is the nasty soap dish. One of the many things we brought up to her and she told us that we could buy spray paint to make it look better instead of getting a new one. Sick.
This was our apartment before we made all the fixes.. it was a lot of hard work! But we really enjoyed it!! We spent over forty hours working on making it our home. Thank you to everyone who helped us fix this place up.. the person we should thank the most is my dad. He just knows how to fix everything and he was over there everyday helping us! The next blog post will be our apartment how it is now :)
Sorry about the yellow high lighting, I'm not sure how it got there and it won't let me take it off.
ReplyDeleteHaha thats funny! I think my favorite was the light switch that was taped on, or "get some spray paint" haha. People are funny.
ReplyDeleteWow!! You guys certainly had your work cut out for you with remodeling the apartment - I can't wait to see the "after" photos, because I'm sure you both did a great job with the remodel!
