Two months

I am a few weeks late posting this, but here it is! I really hate how fast babies grow. It is my absolute favorite stage and it goes by way too fast. I can't believe this how sweet this baby girl is. I don't know what we ever did with out her!!

Statistics: 

Weight: 11.1 lb (44%)
Length: 23 inches (77%)

So far she weighs 6 ounces less and is an inch taller than Braelin was at two months!

Clothing: 0-3 month and some 3 month clothes.

Diapers: Size one

Bedtime: usually around 8-9.

Eating: She eats about every 2-3 hours still during the day to eat, but is starting to get a lot faster at eating!

Sleeping:  She goes to sleep around 8-9 and usually will sleep until 2 in the morning and then you wake up to eat and then go back to sleep until 5:30 to eat again. And then you wake up for the day around 7:30. I'm REALLY hoping that she starts sleeping through the night before I go back to work in a month!

Development: She discovered her hands, and her thumb! So now she is always sucking on her fist. She started playing with your toys on your play mat and she swats at them and Braelin gets excited and says, "Good Job baby!".  She has  been cooing so much and we absolutely love it. She also started laughing which is my favorite. I forgot how much I missed having little baby laughs in our home!

Likes:

• Bath time. 
• She still loves being swaddled!
• Loves watching toys above her.
• Mommy! She is a mommys girl so far and I love it!
• Getting her diaper changed! 
• likes to be rocked.
• likes waking up in the morning! She is definitely a morning person. She starts laughing and cooing whenever she wakes up around 7:30. 

Dislikes:

• dislikes having a dirty or wet diaper. 
• being cold. 
• getting out of the tub.
  

New this month:

• We went to church for the first time for her baby blessing. She was great and was pretty quiet the whole time until she got hungry. With how cold it is, we probably won't be going back for another month still! 
• I left her for  two hours while I went to my work christmas party. I missed her so much and it was hard leaving her for the first time! But she did great while I was gone! 
• She got her first shots, and it was so sad. Her little cry and screams were so heartbreaking! But she took them like a champ and was fine as soon as I picked her up. And she pretty much just slept for 3 days after her shots and didn't get a fever or anything!

Mommy update:

• I am dreading having to go back to work! I would do anything to be able to stay at home with them!
• I am hoping that I can get some kind of exercise routine down once we get Kenlie on a good schedule.
• We have been looking for a house. We have very quickly ran out of room in our apartment. So we look everyday, but we haven't seen anything that we like yet. But we really need something soon!

Daddy update:

• Stayed super busy with work AND school full time. 
• Finished finals!
• Was suppose to have surgery on December 12th for his shoulder, but a few days before then his work told him he was leaving for a business trip to new hampshire that day.
• Went on a business trip for a week  to New Hampshire. But also was able to visit Boston, MA. and Maine. 

Big Sister update:

• Braelin is potty trained! (post coming soon!!) We could not be more proud of her, she did awesome. 

Kenlie's Blessing Day

We blessed our sweet Kenlie on December 4th, 2016. We started off the morning getting everything ready and trying to time it perfect so I could feed Kenlie right before church so she'd have a full belly. But of course right after I got done feeding her she vomited everything she had drank. Poor girl always throws up SO much. So then I changed, we changed Kenlie and got her dressed and headed to the church!

Hunter gave her the sweetest blessing and she did so good the whole time! After her blessing we went to Hunter's parents house around the corner where we were having the luncheon. We had a great turn out and were very grateful to all our friends and family who came to celebrate Kenlie on her special day!

One month

I can't believe you are one month old already. It seriously feels like I had you just a few days ago. That is the hardest part about being a parent is that they grow SO fast. This new born stage is my favorite and I'm savoring every moment! I still have 2 months before I go back to work so I am definitely taking in every moment I can to snuggle and love on you and your sister. You are so much like Braelin and have been such a good baby!

Clothing: Newborn

Diapers: Newborn

Bedtime: Anywhere between 9 and 11.

Eating: So far we are 100% breastfeeding. I'm so glad it has been going so good this time around. I'm hoping to keep it this way until you are one!  She eats about every 2 hours during the day and every 3-4 at night. But after she eats we have to have her sitting up for a good 15-20 minutes until she burps and even after because otherwise she will spit up a lot!

Sleeping: She  sleeps a lot during the day, but at night she usually just wakes up to eat around midnight,  2:30 and then around 5:30 to eat. Sometimes she'll go for longer though.

Development: She started holding her head up really well by herself before we even left the hospital. Now she really has it down and loves it when we hold her so you can look around. She has also really started looking around and focusing her eyes, especially when her sister is trying to snuggle and kiss her.

Likes:

• Bath time. 
• She loves being swaddled tight in her blanket.
• Snuggling after eating. I always have a hard time putting her down after because she is so sweet! So I just snuggle her most of the day :)
• Her swing and her little chair that vibrates, it always puts her to sleep!

Dislikes:

• Getting dressed or undressed. 

New this month:

• The day before she turned two weeks old it was Halloween. This was really the first time we left the house besides Dr's appointments. We went to a trunk or treat and then went to my parents for a family dinner and trick or treating. You slept in your stroller the whole time and did so good!

Mommy update:

• I lost the 30 pounds I gained during pregnancy and am back to my pre pregnancy weight. (yay!) Now I'm hoping to lose just a few more.
• I'm definitely ready for my post partum check up so I can start exercising again. And to make sure everything looks okay and that I won't have to have surgery like I did after I had Braelin. 
• It's been a little crazy with two kids, and we are trying to get a routine down. But I am loving every minute. We sure lucked out with both these sweet girls!

Daddy update:

• Hunter had knee surgery on November 7th when Kenlie was two weeks old. It was a little crazy and last minute, but we figured we should get it done since we already hit our out of pocket max for the year! 
• Had a whole week off of work after his knee surgery, so we spent a lot of time on the couch watching movies and snuggling our girls! 
• Working AND school full time! He is so busy. But he only has 3 semesters left, we are so close!

Big Sister update:

• Braelin has adjusted a lot better than when we thought. She loves her baby sister and is always asking to snuggle baby. It's so cute seeing their relationship already. If Braelin is down for a nap and hears the baby cry she goes to her bedroom door and yells underneath it and says " It's okay baby, its okay".
• You call her baby Kenny and it is the cutest thing ever. 
• You had the chicken pox... luckily just a very minor case since you have already had the vaccine. But we have tried not to let you touch or get too close to Kenlie.
