One year anniversary

On Easter April 8, 2012 it was our one year anniversary!! I can't believe how fast this last year has gone by... I can easily say that it was the fastest year of my life. For our anniversary we kept it as cheap as we could. We had a free nights stay at the marriot in provo from when Hunter won the home run derby last summer. It turned out that the hotel is closed until june or july so we called the hotel next to it and they said we could stay there :) It ended up being the Marriot Suites and every room was a suite. We headed there on Saturday after we did an easter egg hunt at Hunter's grandma's house.. (one of these days I will actually take pictures of what we do.) We got all our stuff into our room and then walked around the Hotel. Then we went accross the street to Magleby's since we had a gift certificate and had a delicious all you can eat dinner. It was soo good! Then we went back to the hotel went swimming and then the next morning we woke up to the what we thought was just loud people above us. It sounded like they were dropping bowling balls on the ground. Hunter went and got us breakfast and then we checked out the lady at the front desk told us that they were redoing the carpet in  that room and apologized for all the noise. The rest of the day we spent at my parents having Easter dinner.

When I walked in the kitchen at my parents I saw the top of our wedding cake on the table!! I had no idea that she had saved it. She had asked me before the wedding if I wanted her to keep it and I told her yes but then at the wedding they threw the whole cake away so I decided to just take our grooms cake on our honeymoon :) But she had kept it all along! No one wanted to try a piece except for me... and it was just really dry.

I still can't believe that we have been married for a year. It's definitely been the funnest year of my life and I can't wait to see what happens in the years to come :)

Truck

Almost two months ago we found the PERFECT truck!! It was a lot more money than we wanted to spend so we figured we would wait a few weeks and see if they would go down in the price. We got them to go down a thousand but we were trying to convince them that they need to knock off some of the money or put new tires on it (we'll have to buy new ones in about a year.. maybe less.) But they just wouldn't budge. After almost a month of waiting we had saved a lot more money and were able to work everything out with getting a loan within our range with a very good down payment. We didn't tell anyone except my parents that we were getting the truck. So we spent all day on March 30th and 31st trying to work things out for a loan and on saturday were able to go get our truck :)


After about an hour or two we finished signing all the paper work and were able to drive the truck home. Unfortunately I had to drive our car back so I wasn't able to ride in our new truck the whole way back from Salt Lake.

Once we finally met up at home we drove it to Hunter's parents house. They were shocked when we told them we had something in the drive way. They next week consisted of us taking many people for rides in it :) It is soo much fun having a truck and now Hunter is happy to go hunting and fishing not being in a little sports car.

The truck is a Nissan Titan, 2005 :)
