Yesterday Hunter was driving to Cabela's when he text me and told me that his car broke down and his phone was almost dead and that he needed help. I was at Hunter's parents house watching the Bachelor waiting for him to come home and told his mom what happened and she called his dad and he went to the rescue. We both missed work today to try and figure out what we are going to do so we towed the car down to the shop and he looked at it and said we blew the timing belt.. Hunter has a mitsubishi eclipse gs that is a 1994 so the fix would be about 2,000 dollars and the car is only worth 1,800 at the most. We thought about it for awhile and we decided to not get it fixed cause we will never get what the car is worth if we tried selling it. So the guy at the shop bought it for 275 which is about what any pick a part junk yard would pay for it. So for now we are sharing my car... It will be rough until we find Hunter's dream truck ;) since we both work at the same place but he has to leave two hours early for school so I guess I will be stuck at home by myself until we can get another car...
We know it was Gods way of telling us we need to move onto the next chapter of our lives because he knows us far too well and know that we could have never had enough courage to sell it and look for a new truck on our own.. it would have been nice to have a little warning though :)
